Head Chef

Location: Toni’s Clackmannan

Job Type: [Full-time / Part-time]

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef to join our busy café and catering business.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen and be confident leading a team, managing a busy service and maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the kitchen team on a day-to-day basis.
* Prepare and oversee the preparation of high-quality food for our café and catering services.
* Plan menus and develop new dishes where appropriate.
* Manage food ordering, stock levels and minimise waste.
* Ensure food is prepared and stored safely and hygienically.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
* Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during busy periods.
* Support and train kitchen staff as required.
* Comply with all food safety and health & safety requirements.

About You

* Previous professional chef experience is essential.
* Experience working in a busy café, restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and lead a team.
* Passionate about producing quality food.
* Reliable, hardworking and professional.
* Food Hygiene certification 1,2 & 3 is essential.

The post I’ve been dreading 🙈 now we have a great wee team in shop as most of you know I’m pregnant and coming to the end well nearly , plenty left in me yet I’ll still be making steak pies right before I go into labour 🥰 but I do need to get organised for the time coming , I will still be involved in the day to day running of the business , I only live 2 mins away , will be in and out each day just with an added little bundle of joy 💙

So over the next week or so I’m gonna have to start to advertise for someone to fill my boots for my maternity , this is hopefully gonna give me enough time to train them up etc 🥰

Also will be opening my Christmas diary a little early this year , so keep an eye out for these , all will be same as previous years just giving myself extra time to organise everything, I already have a few Christmas lunches etc booked in for shop and also outside catering so if you need any information please get in touch asap !
