We’re almost 3 months old, and well overdue an introduction. 🫣🌞
I’m Jordan, and this is my sister, Millie, the faces behind The Coffee Cup.
We grew up in Cirencester and the surrounding villages, so creating something here, in the place we’ve always called home, feels rather special.
When The Coffee Cup opened, we hoped a few people might stop by for a coffee and a brownie. What we didn’t expect was the incredible support we’ve received from our local community.
You’ve kept us busier than we ever imagined! From dog walkers and cyclists to families and familiar faces returning week after week, it’s been a joy to watch this little corner of the Cotswolds come to life.
One of our favourite things has been seeing children swap screens for lawn games while parents enjoy a coffee in the sunshine. As Millie is a mum, helping Steve create a space where families feel welcome has always been close to our hearts. It’s been lovely to see parents, grandparents and little ones enjoying time together here, and it’s exactly the atmosphere we hoped to create.🌱
We’ve also been incredibly lucky. As a tiny café powered by the sun, Mother Nature has been a pretty good business partner so far.
And a little full-circle moment for us? Serving 7A Brownies. We grew up eating them ourselves, so having them on our counter all these years later still feels quite special, a big thank you to Lizzie and Si over at 7a Coffee Shop for trusting us.
As we continue to find our feet over the next few months we hope to expand our food offering, so if you know any fabulous local suppliers, please send them our way!
To everyone who’s visited, shared a post, recommended us to a friend, or simply stopped by to say hello, thank you. We’re so grateful you’ve been part of our first few months.
And a big big thank you to Steve and his family at The Hive | Cotswolds who built our lovely cafe and all the surrounding gardens, and the teams at The Cotswold Range & Laser Clay Cotswolds for being so welcoming 🌱
