ONE YEAR OF MILO’S PIZZA 🍕
A year ago, we opened for our first night in Chipping Sodbury.
I genuinely had no idea what the next 12 months would look like.
The idea was simple: take everything I’d learnt growing up around bread and working as a baker, combine it with my love of proper pizza, and see if people actually wanted to eat it.
Thankfully, you did.
Since then, we’ve made thousands of pizzas, completely sold out more than a few times, taken Milo’s to Badminton Horse Trials, spent the summer serving pizzas at The Wave, tried plenty of new things, made a fair few mistakes and learnt an enormous amount.
Through all of it, Chipping Sodbury has remained the home of Milo’s Pizza.
Some of you ordered on our very first weekend and are still ordering today. I recognise families by their orders now. You’ve brought your mates, recommended us, followed us around to different events and supported pretty much every new thing we’ve tried.
That means a huge amount to a small business like this.
A year ago the goal was slow-fermented sourdough, good ingredients, a short menu and pizza made with proper care.
That hasn’t changed.
There’s still loads I want to improve and plenty more I want to do with Milo’s.
But today, thank you for helping turn a little idea into a real business.
