Lacock is a special place and the Angel is a positive member of its community. We strive to enhance the village with a restaurant that pays homage to what it is - an historic British village that presents a relaxed sense of being to those experiencing it. Set within one of the oldest properties in Lacock, we offer high quality, locally produced food alongside traditional 'inn' accommodation for those that stay - all with exceptional service. The 15th century inn and its 5 bedrooms have been sensitively updated to the standards of modern day living with beautiful interiors and a natural palette whilst restoring the essence and charm of the unique building, which boasts an exquisite panelled sitting room. We are not just providing a service to our guests, but a lifestyle, and we hope you will all feel at home in the inn which has celebrated generations of community spirit. The Angel is a public asset to our heritage and we believe that everyone should enjoy the building and its grounds so we aim to develop community aspects of the project in the longer term.

Celebrate Christmas Day at Sign of the Angel and enjoy a delicious festive meal in the warm and welcoming surroundings of Lacock.

Sit back, relax and let our team take care of everything while you enjoy quality time with family and friends.

Join us from 12:30pm for canapés and a welcome glass of Prosecco, with lunch served at 1pm.

A £30 per person non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your final bill.

Take a look at the full menu, as well as booking information on our website. For Children under 12, we are able to offer smaller portions for £75 per person.

As the seasons change, so do our menus. We’ve given our dishes a refresh, bringing in some new flavours and seasonal favourites for the months ahead.

An Autumn Escape at Sign of the Angel🍂

As the evenings draw in and Lacock becomes a little quieter, we think it’s the perfect time for a night away.

For selected dates from October through February, stay overnight at Sign of the Angel for £180 per room, including £100 to spend on food in our 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

Arrive in the afternoon, explore Lacock, settle in for dinner and enjoy a relaxed evening before heading upstairs for the night.

Wake up to breakfast before heading home the following morning.

Available on selected Monday–Thursday dates from October through February.

It’s been another busy week here at Sign of the Angel.

Although the summer holidays have come to an end and everyone has headed back to school, Lacock is still as busy as ever. We’ve had a great week in the restaurant, while also getting plenty done behind the scenes.

Maddy and Maraya had the chance to step away for an afternoon and attend the Tolchards Trade Tasting at Harbour House in Bristol. It was a great opportunity to catch up with suppliers, discover some new products and start thinking ahead to what’s coming up on our drinks list.

It was then straight back to work, as we’ve been busy putting the finishing touches to our Christmas Day Menu. We’re really looking forward to opening up bookings for what will be a very special Christmas at the Angel.

We’ve also had our final delivery of our new dining chairs, meaning all three of our dining rooms now have their upgraded, more comfortable chairs. It’s a small change, but one that makes a real difference to the overall dining experience and fits beautifully within the character of our historic building.

There’s lots more happening behind the scenes as we start looking towards the festive season and the months ahead.

Keep your eyes peeled, as our Festive Menu will be revealed later this week.

We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on with you.

As summer draws to a close, our thoughts are turning to Christmas, and it’s a season we absolutely love at Sign of the Angel!

Throughout the festive season, we’ll be serving our festive menu, perfect for celebrating with friends, enjoying a work Christmas meal, or gathering the family together.

And yes, we’ll be open on Christmas Day! Bring your loved ones and let us take care of the cooking while you settle in and enjoy the festivities. Our Christmas Day menu will be published later this month. If you’d like us to send the menu directly to you once it’s finalised, simply drop us an email and we’ll make sure it lands in your inbox.

And don’t worry, Angel Hour is here to stay throughout the winter! Keep your eyes peeled for some festive additions to our cocktail list. It wouldn’t be Christmas without a little Christmas cheer!
