Different pitches, different challenges… and a pitch with just one plug has definitely tested my problem-solving skills 😂🔌

When I’m fully off-grid in a field, I use my 8kW Gorilla generator to power the trailer and water urn, which I can keep topped up throughout the day. But with just one plug, I’ve needed a different strategy!

My espresso machine already has an important job, so I’ve always wanted a separate hot-water supply for teas and Americanos. Keeping enough water hot has been the challenge, cue a collection of thermos flasks and a fair bit of juggling!

Challenge accepted 💪 I finally bit the bullet and bought this Cambro dispenser, with roughly 17 litres of capacity.

First outing today and, so far, five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really well insulated, easy to transport and much less faff! I use my 10L urn at home to heat the water and fill it before heading out.

And I actually think it looks pretty cool as well 😎🤎☕️

Dorothy House holds a very special place in my heart. My dad spent his final four nights there, surrounded by our family, and being part of Moments of Light feels like a small way of giving back to this amazing hospice. We’ll also be donating a percentage of our profits to Dorothy House. 🤎

Another great morning serving coffee and bakes at Avonvale RFC 🤎☕️

Today I was joined by Chris from Lade's Bakes Official , which was so much fun. He was like a fish in water on the till, serving up their amazing bakes 😂🥐

I’ve planned a few well-earned days off now before Trailhead’s next little chapter begins at Dorothy House 💜

Time to recharge, then onto the next part of the journey ☕️

My last day at Piccadilly Caravan Park today, as their season quietly comes to an end ☕️🌿

I feel so blessed to have spent this season serving coffee in such a beautiful place. I’ve met so many people, made new friends, and, in a small way, felt part of so many different journeys.

I’ve loved hearing people’s stories, where they’ve come from, where they’re heading and what brought them here.

Some have been local, simply escaping the house for a little while. Some have travelled from other parts of the world. And more than you might imagine have sold their homes altogether and chosen to live life from their van, letting the road decide what comes next.

That’s probably been my favourite part of Trailhead. The coffee brings people to the window, but it’s the conversations that stay with me.

Everyone is on a journey of some kind, and I feel incredibly lucky that, for a short moment, so many of those journeys have crossed mine.

I’m looking forward to returning next year. Until then my journey continues.

The last few days at Piccadilly Caravan Park ☕️🍂

As the campsite approaches the end of its season, Trailhead is getting ready to move on to its next spot, Dorothy House Hospice 💜

I’ll be there through to the end of the year, serving coffee and bakes alongside some very special events. It feels like a meaningful place for the next part of Trailhead’s journey.

But for now, we’ve still got a few mornings left at Piccadilly, and today we have custard cream cookies and Biscoff croissants alongside the coffee 🥐☕️
