Woodheads was formed in Liverpool in 1844, and has had a presence in Chesterfield since the 1860s, when Woodheads was a shop selling tea and coffee. Ian Cooper and Stephanie Mallinder have been the owners since 2013, and in that time have worked hard to make Woodheads a favourite eating destination for hundreds of people every week. vement in an independent shopping area called The Yards. We offer good quality home cooked food at sensible prices all day. A great place for an early breakfast, a quick cuppa with friends or a hot meal after a busy shopping session. We are even licensed for alcohol upstairs too and have a range of bottled beer, wine, cider and spirits. Woodheads has two sections, a downstairs cafe serving drinks and snacks and an upstairs 66 seater restaurant where you can enjoy friendly waitress service. If you prefer to have your meal downstairs in the cafe area or outside on our tables and chairs then that is fine too. All meals, breakfasts and drinks can be served as a take-away. Both upstairs and down we have coffee machines and we can produce anything the big coffee shops can, but at a fraction of the cost. Mochaccino, cappuccino, we do the lot, but if you prefer a normal instant coffee we can do that too. We go out of our way to make sure you have exactly what you fancy, so please do not hesitate to ask. We often do off menu requests, and our regular customers feel comfortable enough to ask us to cook their favourite meals. We have recently made Tiramisu, Hommity Pie, and Cauliflower Cheese, to name just a few. We pride ourselves in being friendly and attentive and getting to know how our customers like their meals so they can be just right. Nothing is too much trouble for our friendly team of staff. We have a range of vegetarian meals, and are just developing some gluten free options also. Other intolerances are not a problem, we try to cater for all. If you are diabetic we have reduced sugar jam and marmalade.
