The Crown Fordham has been named Admiral Taverns Pub of the Year at this year’s Great British Pub Awards, hosted by The Morning Advertiser! 🏆

The team from the Crown headed to Leeds for the awards last night and came home with the win, following months of judging and a fantastic achievement in making it through to the final six.

A huge shoutout also has to go to our other brilliant finalists — The Border Terrier , The Harp Inn, The Angel-poole, The Ashmore Inn and Chrystal Bell, Glasgow. To have six pubs representing Admiral Taverns at the awards is something we're incredibly proud of. 👏

For The Crown, the award is fantastic recognition of everything the team has put into the pub and the role it plays within Fordham. The support from customers, regulars and the wider village has been incredible, and it’s clear just how much the pub means to its community.

Congratulations to everyone at The Crown, and to all of our finalists! 👏

A fresh new look for Tafarn Yr Orsaf 👏

Pauline Nolan and Lee Male are now welcoming back customers through the door, with a completely refreshed pub, upgraded beer gardens and new function room.

A huge amount of work has gone into getting the pub ready, with support from Business Development Manager Kelly Kerr, and it's great to see it open and ready for the community to enjoy it again.

Another big step towards our target for Claire House! 🙌

Last weekend saw colleagues take on the Great North Run, with nine runners getting involved and raising nearly £6,000 between them.

That brings our fundraising total to an amazing £139,138. 💗

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, and thank you to everyone who supported and donated.

We’re getting very close now…👏

The Royal Oak Platts Common has now re-opened 🥳

The Royal Oak officially opened on Saturday 5th September, following an unofficial opening the weekend before that gave locals their first chance to see what the team had been working on.

And it's fair to say they were ready for it. The pub was packed, with plenty of familiar faces coming back through the doors. There have been plenty of memories shared from over the years, with some locals remembering the Royal Oak as their pub back in the 80s and 90s, recalling the nights, celebrations and good times they spent there.

Now, following its transformation, the Royal Oak has been given a fresh new look, with live sport, pub games and new spaces for the community to enjoy.

A brilliant start for the team and a great welcome back from Platts Common 👏

Twenty years gives you a front-row seat to your local community, growing, changing and making plenty of memories along the way 💚

That's exactly what David and Lesley Redfern have done at The Three Nuns, where they're now celebrating an incredible two decades at the pub.

Over the years, they've been there for everything from everyday catch-ups and Sunday lunches to bigger moments, including the Olympic Torch passing through Powick!

Through it all, David and Lesley have continued to make the Three Nuns a place people know, return to and feel at home in. They've now received their long service award to celebrate 20 years at the pub. A fantastic milestone and one we're incredibly proud to recognise.

Congratulations to David and Lesley! 👏

KA MATE! KA MATE! KA ORA! KA ORA! 🙌

Last week, we brought colleagues from across Admiral Taverns together at Chester Racecourse for a day of learning, celebration and connection.

From business updates to celebrating achievements from across the business, the conference was an opportunity to reflect on our progress and recognise the collective effort that drives Admiral Taverns forward.

We also heard from Jolanta Strong from@Licensed Trade Charity who shared the incredible work they do supporting people across the hospitality industry alongside Lewis Croft from Claire House, who shared inspiring stories about the incredible work the charity does to support children and families.

The day ended with a powerful introduction to the Haka. More than just an energetic performance, it was a moving reminder of the values that bring people together; unity, respect, pride and the strength that comes from standing side by side as one team.

As we return to our roles across the business, we'll take those lessons with us, supporting one another, celebrating success and continuing to build a culture where everyone feels valued and part of our story. 💚

Celebrating an incredible milestone at The Bold Arms in Beaumaris 🎉

A huge congratulations to the team on 20 years at the heart of the local community. In an industry that’s constantly evolving, reaching two decades is a real testament to the dedication, hard work and passion that goes into creating a pub people genuinely love to visit.

From welcoming familiar faces through the doors every day, to being a place where memories are made, The Bold Arms has clearly become much more than just a pub.

It’s brilliant to see such well-deserved recognition for the people behind it all, and a special moment to celebrate the relationships built with customers over the years.

Here’s to 20 fantastic years… and many more to come 🍾👏

On Saturday, colleagues, friends and family from across Admiral Taverns came together for our charity walk in support of Claire House 🩵

Starting at Flint Castle, and finishing at Little Oak, the team covered an incredible 24km and over 31,000 steps to help raise money for an amazing cause.

We're incredibly proud to share that together, we've now raised over £100,000 for Claire House Children's Hospice 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who walked, donated, organised and supported along the way. The sense of community, teamwork and support shown throughout the day was amazing to see and is a brilliant reflection of what Admiral Taverns is all about.

Well done to everyone involved 👏
