Garden Centre Association Better standards, better business. We represent 200 garden centres nationwide, which strive to ensure customer satisfaction.

We recognise that the achievement of high standards is a necessary part of our members’ long term success and profitability and through the inspection programme we help them attain that. Sharing information and experiences at all levels helps to achieve excellence in customer service, plant quality and reliability. Winter Conferences and study tours for garden centre proprietors, managers and staff are an important part of the work of the GCA to enhance good communication skills and advise members of the latest retail initiatives to encourage customers to visit garden centres.

🎅🎄✨ This is a FINAL CALL for our Christmas Competition sponsored by Gisela Graham. ✨🎄🎅

The closing date for entries is TODAY, October 16.

Entrants are visited by an independent professional judge from Monday, November 2 to Friday, November 27, 2026. To enable centres to gain valuable PR during the Christmas trading period, the results are announced as soon as judging is completed.

If you wish to enter, contact your Area Chairman before the deadline. Trophies presented at our conference in January 2027.

From October 30, all employers are expected to take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, not simply respond when incidents occur.

According to WorkNest’s survey of more than 400 HR professionals, 54% of UK employers are concerned they may not have done enough to meet their obligations.
