This weekend we’re marking 15 years of Tim and Mary at the helm of our lovely pub with a full weekend of chaos and countryside charm.

Some dishes are worth bringing back 🍽️

As part of our 15th Anniversary celebrations, Richard and the team have created a set of Anniversary Specials, old favourites from years gone by, back on the menu for the evenings of Thursday 24th, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September.

Think slow braised lamb shank, pan seared calves liver, and a pigeon kiev that’s been quietly missed. Hearty, seasonal, and full of the kind of flavour that’s kept people coming back for fifteen years.

Available alongside our usual menu, no booking required.

Our Car Treasure Hunt is back! 🚗🏆

Saturday 26th September, cars in the pits from 2pm for two hours of clue-chasing around the Cheshire countryside.

Open to all, you don’t need to be a car club member to join in, just a car, a navigator, and a bit of local know-how.

Up for grabs is a £200 gift card to spend in our pubs, sponsored by Tanqueray 0%. Owner Tim will be there on the day to cheer entrants on 🙌🏼

Two team members per car, £10 entry fee (going towards North West Air Ambulance Charity), and drivers will need a partner with them to help navigate.

To register, email [email protected] with your name, your car, and the Cholmondeley Arms as your preferred Treasure Hunt venue. Spaces are limited, so get in touch soon.

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we’re hosting a Dog Show! 🐾

Kicking off from 2.30pm on Sunday 27th September, the garden turns over to four-legged guests. Bring your dog, register them on arrival, and let them take their moment in the spotlight.

Categories include:

🏆 Prettiest Female Dog
🏆 Most Handsome Hound
🏆 Proud Pedigree
🏆 Marvellous Mixed Breed
🏆 Best Sausage Catcher

Once the judging’s done, settle in for the rest of the afternoon with some jazzy sounds courtesy of Plus One, a drink in hand and a well-earned rest for the competitors.

Whether your dog’s a natural showstopper or simply there for the sausages, everyone’s welcome.

On Saturday, the Tour de Cat riders rolled through the Cholmondeley Arms! 🚴‍♀️🐾

Part of the Cheshire Cat Pubs Cycle Challenge, a 7 pub bike ride in support of the North West Air Ambulance Charity, the riders made their way from The Church Inn Mobberley to the finish line at the The Bulls Head Mobberley, with a stop at ours along the route.

We’re delighted to share that they raised an incredible £1,045 for charity on the day! 👏

A big thank you to our sponsor Boutinot Wines and to everyone who took part or cheered the riders on. A fantastic effort for a fantastic cause.
