🌿 BETTER LATE THAN NEVER… 🤣🌿

Yes, we know it’s October… and yes, we’ve finally got round to giving our terrace planters a bit of love. 😂

But summer isn’t quite dead and buried yet! 😎☀️

Our lovely friend Sarah from Doorway in Bloom has been busy working her magic on our troughs with gorgeous eucalyptus, olive and rosemary — bringing a little bit more of the Mediterranean to Sergio. 🇮🇹🌿

And her timing might actually be perfect… 👀

🌡️ Temperatures reaching around 18°C

So dig the shades back out, grab a seat on the terrace and pretend it’s still summer. 😎🍹🍝

🎂❤️ A VERY SPECIAL BIRTHDAY AT SERGIO’S ❤️🎂

Yesterday we had the pleasure of celebrating the birthday of someone who is far more than just a customer to us — our wonderful friend Raffaello. 🇮🇹🥂

Raffaello has been a loyal customer and friend for many years and is quite simply one of those people who would do absolutely anything for anyone. ❤️

Every week he enjoys his meal at Bollicini, then makes his way over to Sergio’s for his espresso with me ☕️… where we sit, chat, laugh and generally put the world to rights! 😂

And yesterday even Sergio — the big boss himself — made a special visit to Sergio’s to help us celebrate Raffaello’s birthday. Now that tells you just how special this gentleman is to us. 🥰

Restaurants are about food, w**e and hospitality… but after all these years, it’s the friendships we make along the way that really mean the most.

Happy Birthday Raffaello! 🥂🎉
Here’s to many more espressos, many more laughs and many more years of putting the world to rights together. ☕️❤️🇮🇹

Apparently it’s not ALL work in the Sergio kitchen… 🤣🇮🇹💃🕺

Caught our Head Chef Antonio and our lovely Albina having a little pre-service dance before a VERY busy Monday night! 😂❤️

They’re two of our longest-standing members of the kitchen team… and clearly they’ve discovered the secret to surviving a busy service at Sergio:

Good food, good music and a quick dance before the orders start flying in! 🤣🍝🍕🍷

Five minutes later… aprons on, pans sizzling and back to business! 👨‍🍳🔥

We absolutely love the characters behind Sergio — it’s not just a team, it’s a little Italian family. ❤️🇮🇹

And Antonio… we’ve got the evidence now! 😂😂

September may have arrived… but apparently nobody told the terrace at Ristorante Sergio! 😂🍹

The sun has been shining, the spritzers have been flowing, the Italian music is playing and there’s been the loveliest little buzz on our terrace today. ❤️

Light, golden and crispy tempura prawns served with a saffron tartare sauce, fresh basil and zesty lemon wedges.

🥂 A beautifully chilled Gavi di Gavi, of course! 🇮🇹 which is my all time favourite w**e.
