5 years since we closed Joseph Benjamin. Already!
We wanted to make sure you all knew about our pub - The Jolly Gardeners. We opened last year after pretty serious refurb/restoration. It’s the beautiful black and white building on Christleton Road, just at the top of Sandy Lane in Boughton.
If you enjoyed visits to JB’s, you deffo need to come and visit us at the pub. We’re proud to be a true, independent freehouse with no brewery ties - meaning we pour only what we love. Our bar features a carefully curated line-up of cask and keg real ales, we have a great selection of amazing wine, and superb food - the freshest Cornish day-boat fish, locally sourced seasonal vegetables & grass-fed heritage breed meats.
So basically, everything we learned at JB’s (with a good number of the same chefs involved), but updated for 2026! Proper cooking, EVERYTHING homemade (yes, we make the bread AND the butter), using genuinely the best produce in the country. But now in a pub!
We opened JB’s 20 years ago this year. To celebrate this birthday we’re giving you a 25% discount until the end of July at the Jolly Gardeners, just quote “JB25” on booking or add it to the booking notes when you make a reservation online.
