Come and see Radiate Arts’ Pride Shields as part of their True Colours project. On display now in the Rainbow Tea Rooms.

The shields represent the barriers we face and the ways we find strength to move through them. Each piece imagines our true colours growing beyond those barriers, breaking through, blossoming and becoming something bigger.

Next Thursday 20th August we will be hosting Cheshire Archives as they delve deeper into their 20,000 women zine-making workshops.

These workshops are free to attend but spaces are limited so please book on to ensure your space! https://www.tickettailor.com/events/chesterpride20161

This is an inclusive and LGBTQ+ welcoming workshop. We especially want to make space for stories about trans women and girls, q***r lives, and the many different ways womanhood is lived, expressed and understood. You do not need to identify as a woman to take part, everyone is welcome to help us celebrate and record women’s and girls’ stories.

No artistic experience is needed, and there is no right or wrong way to make a zine. All materials will be provided.

With your permission, completed zines will become part of a special collection at Cheshire Archives, creating a unique record of women’s and girls’ lives in 2026 for future generations.
