❤️ A well-earned Huxley’s pit stop!

Lovely to welcome this brilliant group of sponsored walkers raising money for the British Heart Foundation to Huxley’s for a little mid-walk sustenance.

A fantastic cause, a great bunch of people — and what a day for it on Chester’s City Walls! ☀️

Wishing them all the very best for the rest of their walk. ❤️👏

A lovely surprise at Huxley’s today! ☕️🍫

The wonderful Clare Balding popped in for a flat white and one of our life changing brownies — and very kindly stopped for a photo with James.

It was an absolute pleasure to have you, Clare. We hope the brownie lived up to expectations! 😊

A little moment from outside Huxley’s today… and a reminder of what’s waiting for you tonight ✨

Our sister venue Bishop Lloyd’s on the Watergate Rows welcomes this evening—bringing that same voice, up close, in a candlelit setting made for it.

If you caught even a glimpse of this earlier, you’ll know… it’s worth following the sound down to the Rows.

Huxley’s turns 4 today.

A small space on the walls, kept busy by a lot of kind, loyal people.

We don’t take that for granted.
Thank you to everyone who’s stopped, returned, and made us part of their routine.

And to the team — past and present — who’ve carried it day to day.

Open as usual.

A very special delivery across the Atlantic this week ✉️🇺🇸

One of our lovely regular visitors from the US has sent us this beautiful pen & ink drawing of our little porthole window and the view beyond. To see Huxley’s captured like this — with such care and detail — genuinely means a lot to us.

It’s a reminder that what we’ve built here isn’t just a café… it’s a place people connect with, remember, and carry with them long after they’ve gone home.

Thank you for your kindness — we’ll treasure this ❤️

Happy Easter from all of us at Huxley’s 🐣💛

Bright blue skies, the clock watching over us, and a little bit of spring magic in the air – days like this remind us why we love being right here on the walls.

Whether you’re out for a wander, meeting friends, or just treating yourself (as you should), we’re here with the coffee on, cakes ready, and a warm welcome waiting.

Wishing you a beautiful Easter Sunday 🌼
