Posts have been a little quiet over the last few weeks, and I promise I will catch up and show you all the lovely cake designs that have gone out but....

I want to say a massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of my incredible clients! The last few weeks have been absolutely crazy-busy in the kitchen, and I am so grateful for every single order that keeps me on my toes. 🥰

After a non-stop baking marathon, I finally took a much-needed day off for a special day date with Mr Hareraising Cakes (aka the hubby!).

We swapped the mixing bowls for a beautiful day out in London, taking in an amazing exhibition, enjoying a gorgeous lunch right by the river, and topping it off with a relaxing boat ride down the Thames. 🛥️☀️

My batteries are fully recharged, and I am ready to jump right back into the kitchen to create more magic for you all this week!

The secret is out! Here is the finished Gruffalo cake for Cobie’s 2nd birthday, and I am so in love with how this storybook scene came together.

From my handmade Gruffalo and little mouse models to the fondant forest trees and woodland soil, every detail was crafted with love. The incredible custom backdrop topper was created by Balloons And Cakes to finish the scene perfectly! 🌳🦉🦊

Here is a little behind-the-scenes teaser of the handmade model I’ve been sculpting as part of exciting cake project. I absolutely loved bringing this classic storybook character to life, furry texture and all!

Oh, and the mouse is ready too, and my talented girl over at has made the perfect custom topper to tie it all together. 🎈✨

I can't wait to show you how the finished cake looks... stay tuned for the final reveal!
