Dearest Customers.
The last 6 months has been a struggle for my business and it is now obvious that it is no longer financially viable. The cafe is now closed for the winter and I will not be re-opening in the Spring. The margins are so small and volume of customers is not high enough. Big thanks to my staff and customers over the last 18months. 😉👋🥰

Following a stint on the judging panel in 2022, we’re delighted to be welcoming back Sarah Rankin as our Master of Ceremonies for our 30th year. As well as running a busy marketing business and working as a food writer, chef demonstrator, recipe development specialist AND private dining caterer, Sarah is a Masterchef finalist.

Sarah says: “I am thrilled to be hosting the Golden Spurtle. I so enjoyed my time as a judge last year and it’ll be great to be back, meeting all the contestants and sharing their stories with the audience.”

Unfortunately we’re having to close for both Saturday and Sunday this week, due to staff shortage. It’s the last thing we want to do but can’t be helped.
