Please welcome The Black Lion vets who is a finalist in the Veterans Group of the year catagory – Sponsored by Sierra Nevada Mission Systems UK

We are the Black Lion Veterans group, based out of the Black Lion, Llandaff and we are overwhelmed that we were nominated never mind finalists. We feel like impostors being the smallest group, but just being thought of means the world.
I myself am an Army Veteran and we have members from all services... we are fully inclusive!

We have only been formed a year and sadly during that time one our founding members Sean passed away in December, and I know he would have been over the moon with this.
I formed this club after taking on this pub just to make a safe space for veterans where they feel familiar and welcome, since then we have grown and started raising money for the smaller, less well known military charities, such as Healthier Heroes and Scottys little soldiers.

We just hope that we can go from strength to strength and keep being the safe space for Veterans, serving soldiers and everyone else.

Thank you so much for this opportunity and we hope you all visit us at some stage to feel as welcomed as everyone else.
