By introducing local ingredients like ube (purple yam), pandan, and mango, Filipino bakers turned a classic American holiday cookie into a year-round bakery favorite with a distinct tropical identity. Today, you can find different varieties and flavours showing how versatile the recipe is.
Crinkles is a cookie dough balls rolled heavily in powdered sugar that creates a crackled exterior as they bake. The cookie is crunchy on the outside then soft, chewy and fudgy in the centre.
