Here are our Opening Hours over the next couple of weeks🙏 We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to all our wonderful customers for another fantastic year. Your continued support truly means the world to us.

We’ll be open throughout most of the Christmas period, with just a few of days closed to spend time with family and re-charge before returning to serve you as usual. (Different Hours for the different Locations)

Our team will be working right through the season, keeping the coffee flowing and the doors open for your daily rituals, festive catch-ups, and winter warmers.

Uncommon Ground Roasting Company Ltd are looking for an experienced Head Supervisor to join our team.

This is a full-time role (approx. 40 hours p/w) working across both our Royal Arcade and Pontcanna locations.

We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Has proven hospitality experience, including team supervision
✅ Possesses strong leadership and delegation skills
✅ Can organise busy shifts and support the team
✅ Delivers excellent customer service at all times
✅ Is proactive in maintaining high standards across both sites
✅ Is confident overseeing operations, including kitchen prep work

For a decade, we’ve run our own roasting facility just outside Cardiff. On our 15kg roaster, we roast coffee not only for our own espresso bar, but also for the many wholesale customers who share our passion for quality coffee.

There aren’t many businesses that do it all: roast their own coffee, bake their own cakes, and create their own brunch menus from scratch. It takes a lot of dedication, but it means everything we serve is truly ours — crafted to our standards and shaped by our values.

It’s something we don’t shout about enough, but it’s something we’re really proud of — and something we’ll continue to build on as Uncommon Ground grows.

Here’s to the next chapter, fuelled by freshly roasted coffee. 🌱

We’re excited to share that we’ve invested in a brand new area of the business: introducing Uncommon Ground Bakery. 🍞🧁

Starting this week, we begin rolling out our own line of handcrafted cakes, brownies, muffins and more — all made by us, in our very own bakery.

For nearly a decade, we’ve been proud to roast our own coffee.
Now, we’re bringing that same dedication to quality and craft into the world of baking.

This is more than just an addition — it’s a natural evolution of what we do: great coffee, now paired with freshly baked goods made in-house.

First bakes coming soon. We can’t wait for you to taste what’s next😋
