The Fin Boys Cambridge Fish Butchery and Restaurant Opened May 2021, Fin Boys is a Fish Butchery and Restaurant at No.2 Mill Road, in Cambridge.

The Fish butchery and shop is open Thursday-Saturday from 11am until 4pm. The restaurant opens for a la carte lunch between 12noon-3pm Thursday - Saturday. On Tuesday-Thursday evenings, the a la carte menu is available to be taken to evening service, from 6.30pm. Friday and Saturday, in the evenings, a tasting-style set menu is on offer from 6.30pm. Travel back to the Eternal City for one night only as Fin Boys channels the flavours of Rome – minus the empire, and the toga’s, plus a lot more flavour.
~
Expect the kind of dishes that built a civilisation: crisp supplì (Rome’s answer to arancini) stuffed with tomato and mozzarella, olives laced with pork, sage and anchovy; the silkiest cacio e pepe tangled through bucatini; and rich, slow-cooked coda alla vaccinara – oxtail braised with celery, onions and potatoes until it’s practically a religion.

We’re finishing on a sweet note with crostata ricotta con pere – a pear and ricotta tart worthy of the gods themselves.

Wines and amaro from the region will be available to supplement – because when in Rome…

Italian Lakes & Mountains: Wednesday 4 March.

Inspired by the Italian Lakes and Alpine regions, with a seasonal tasting menu paired with expressive wines from Italy, bookings are open now!
~
The menu moves through tuna carpaccio with winter tomatoes and EVOO, pan-fried red mullet with new-season peas and broad beans, and gnocchi with crab sauce and basil, followed by white asparagus with bottarga, butter and lemon. Dessert finishes on new-season Gariguette strawberries with rhubarb sorbet and mascarpone.

Wines have been carefully selected to match the food and the landscape, including a Blanc de Blancs from Trentino-Alto Adige, skin-contact Pinot Grigio from Friuli, Lugana from Lombardy, and a structured Rosso from Livio Felluga, before finishing with Recioto Classico from Veneto.

Join us for a special Valentine’s Monday Night Supper Club, built for sharing the love of seafood and each other!
~
The menu opens with our housemade sourdough crumpet with smoked haddock and cacio e pepe, followed by prawns ‘la plancha’ with XO sauce and a generous Spanish wet rice with crab, tomato, parsley, pimentón and manzanilla.
~
For the main course, expect Scottish halibut with mushroom purée, black kale and truffle sauce, finishing on caramelised white chocolate with blood orange and hazelnut praline.
~
A relaxed, celebratory way to mark Valentine’s – perfect if you prefer good food, thoughtful cooking and a Monday night done properly.
