Happy Summer Solstice Weekend.

I'm so sorry to be that person, who closes at short notice, but there aren't enough antihistamines in the world, to get me to open on Friday.
Unfortunately it looks like Friday is going to be a Midgy Washout, Therefore I'm going to spend the day Baking, getting ready for Summer, which arrives on Saturday 🔆☀️🌞⛱️🏖️🫡😎

.k.v.11 James, I cannot thank you enough for holding down the fort, while I have a sneaky weekend off. You have been Amazing. I am so proud of how far you've come and you are an absolute credit to your parents.

James came to work for me, just over a year ago, when he was still 16, and he has come so far; passed his driving test, joined the rugby team, finished school, been accepted to Uni, and has grown from a string bean into a giraffe.

All pennies in Polly's Gin fund this weekend, will go towards feeding a rugby playing, 6 foot, 5 inch, teenage boy. Please give generously (feeding teenage boys ain't cheap)

I know how well James has been doing this weekend, because I'm utterly overwhelmed by the messages from all our fabulous customers telling me. Thank you.

An absolutely massive thank you to you all. This morning at breakfast we raised £500 in cash in less than 2 hours. are raising money for and Give a Kidney.
A huge Thank you to The Rumbling Tum in Ardrishaig for accommodating us all, for late morning refreshments.
A massive Thank you to Stuart for keeping us supplied with emergency rations!

.engineer gets to play road steam tomorrow

We will be open somewhere outside the Horseshoe on TUESDAY 19th from 8ish to 10:30 selling Hot & Cold Drinks, Home Baking and not to forget our very special Bacon Baps. (All proceeds will be going to Charities)

A convoy of Steam Engines and other old vehicles will be making its way from Oban to the Peak District, all to raise money for charities.

They will be in Bridgend, outside the Horseshoe on the evening of Monday 18th.
