🍾🌟 Happy 1st Birthday to us!! 🎁 And what a year it’s been! 🌟🍾

💛🥹 Opening The Duke after 4 years of it being closed has been everything we imagined and more - we’ve revived the iconic Thursday night quiz 🧠 danced with Abba 🪩 sung our hearts out at karaoke 🎤 welcomed Santa to the duke 🎅 cheered on England together 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 raised money for some incredible causes 🚲 celebrated birthdays & weddings 👰 And even managed to pick up a best newcomer award too 🥹💛

🥰💫 We’ve welcomed back plenty of familiar faces, but also watched strangers become regulars, created a fantastic team with the most incredible staff and have had the biggest laughs with you all! I’m pretty sure I will of annoyed some people too 🙈🤣 But you can’t run a pub for a year and keep everyone happy! 😅 But we do try our very best! 💫🥰

❤️🍻 Through all of this The Duke has become exactly what we’d imaged and hoped it would be - a real hub for the community! Full of people & full of life. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, we really couldn’t have done this first year without you all!! 🍻❤️

🥳🥂 And now?! To PARTY!!! 🎉 We cannot wait for tonight to celebrate with you all! 6pm until midnight🥂🥳

🎄❤️ Christmas Day at The Duke ❤️🎄

🥂 We have been getting SO many enquiries about serving food on Day - We absolutely love Christmas at The Duke 🥰 There is something so special about seeing you all, raising a glass (or 2 😉) together and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas before heading home to our families 🥂

🎅🎁 However, we won’t be serving food on Christmas Day & this probably won’t be something that we think about for the further either. As much as The Duke is a huge part of our lives, Eric & Elsie are the biggest part and are still little and we want to make sure we get those precious Christmas Days at home with them while we can 🥹❤️ Before they’re old enough for me to get them working on Christmas Day instead 🤣

🍾🍻 The bar WILL be open as normal 12-2pm & we can’t wait to have a festive drink with you all! 🎁🎅

🇩🇪🍺 Our food theme night for October is German! And we will be bringing the Oktoberfest vibes to the pub - be quick to book as we’ve already got quite a few tables booked up already! Menu will be posted this evening🍺🇩🇪

🤤😍 And we’ve definitely missed having their homemade treats on the bar! So much so that there’s only half of this beauty left after this lunchtime! 😍🤤
