New into the library (and available to buy!): CAT EARTH 🌎🐈‍⬛️

You know how cats like to knock things off tabletops?

Well, imagine the world was flat, and giant cats roamed around it, knocking houses off the edge!

That's Cat Earth! This is a 2-4 player game where the aim is for your coloured houses be the last ones on the board. It might look like a kids' game... but trust us when we say: this one can get mean, fast! 😂😹

Giant cats. A box that becomes the board. 20-30 minutes to play... We saw this one at UKGE earlier this year and knew it would be a hit at Shuffle!

🎴 HOW DOES A PRERELEASE WORK?

On arrival, you'll receive a pre-constructed 40-card deck and 4 booster packs from the brand new set.

You'll then have time to open your packs, see what you've pulled and customise your deck before battling it out in the event.

And the best bit? You get to keep all the cards you open, plus 3 additional booster packs at the end of the event!

Table service for food and drinks will be available throughout the event, so you won't need to leave the action when you fancy a drink or something to eat.

🎲 WE'RE HIRING!

We're looking for a part-time member of Team Shuffle to join us at Shuffle Board Game Café in Bury St Edmunds, with a particular focus on Trading Card Game events.

We're looking for someone with a good knowledge of TCGs who is confident enough to host and run Swiss-style tournaments, manage players and results, and get stuck into the software used to run events. Experience with tournament software such as Melee.gg, Carde.IO and Wizards EventLink would be useful, but we can teach you the systems we use.

We're particularly interested in people who know Flesh and Blood, Riftbound, Lorcana or One Piece, as these will be a big part of our plans moving forward. Knowledge of other TCGs, including Magic: The Gathering, is absolutely relevant too.

The role also involves the usual Shuffle team duties, including serving customers, preparing food and drinks, restocking, cleaning and generally helping keep the café running.

The important bits:
🎲 Part-time, typically 5–16 hours per week
🎲 Shift work, including regular weekend availability
🎲 Monday evening availability is essential
🎲 18+ only (Due to sales of alcohol)
🎲 National Minimum Wage + equal share of team tips
🎲 Additional staff benefits
🎲 Based at Shuffle Board Game Café, Bury St Edmunds
🎲 We want you trained and working by mid-November 2026

You don't need to have run tournaments professionally before. If you know your TCGs, understand how organised play works and can demonstrate that knowledge and confidence, we'd like to hear from you.

Happy 30th Anniversary, Pokémon fans!

Thank you all for your patience in the MASSIVE queues yesterday outside Shuffle as the Pokémon 30th Anniversary products launched! And for getting into the spirit of things with some Pikachu hats!

(And for some of you sitting in camping chairs for *hours!* before any staff even arrived on site!)

We sold out (of course!) and our apologies go out to those of you at the back of the queue who were left empty-handed. The demand for this set was IN-SANE. The biggest we've seen since Shuffle opened its doors nearly five years ago.

BUT! We are expecting some re-stocks... soon. At some point! We don't know the *exact* date it's due to arrive (that's out of our hands).

However, rest assured if you weren't able to get some, yesterday. Hopefully you'll be able to in the second wave of stock!
