Some of the most meaningful events we create aren’t weddings. 🤍
They’re the ones where every little detail has a story behind it.
When Geraldine got in touch, she wanted to give her beloved mum an afternoon tea send-off — because her mum had loved afternoon tea so much.
She wanted something that felt warm, personal and full of memories.
And there was one detail we knew had to be included…
💜 Lilac.
It was her mum’s favourite colour, so we incorporated little touches of lilac into the afternoon tea, Geraldine included beautiful lilac bows tied around the chairs.
Geraldine and I stayed in close contact throughout the planning, chatting by email and text, sharing choices and waiting for those all-important 👍🏻 from Geraldine before moving forward.
Then, on the day, we delivered the china to Walmley Cricket Club, they set everything up and made sure everything was ready for the family to arrive.
There was a scrumptious afternoon tea, vintage china, photographs and memories playing on screen, and a room prepared for family and friends to come together and remember a much-loved mum and grandmother.
Because sometimes it’s not about making the day less sad.
It’s about creating a space where people can eat, talk, laugh, cry, share memories and feel close to the person they’re missing.
And that’s why I love what I do.
It’s so much more than hiring out teacups. ☕️
It’s helping families create meaningful moments when they need them most.
