Today marks 15 years since we said goodbye to Betty Lewis, our much-loved Granny Lewis. 🤍

The Welsh flag is flying at the White Harte in her honour, and in memory of both Betty and John Lewis, who ran the hotel before us. Two stalwarts of Burnham, they hold a special place in our family, the hotel’s history and the memories of so many in the town.

If you have a funny story, a fond memory or a little moment you remember with either of them, we’d love you to share it in the comments.

Join us at Ye Olde White Harte on Saturday 26th September for our Carnival Day B**r Festival in the car park from 3pm–7pm.

🍺 Local ales from Mighty Oak and Crouch Vale
🍺 Guest la**rs including Monte Carlo and Sharp’s Offshore Pilsner
🎶 Live music from 3.30pm with Tim, lead singer of ZootGoose, stepping out solo to bring us some musical delights!
🐷 Hot roast pork and stuffing rolls with crackling and crispy potatoes, available from 3pm–6pm

Food will be available throughout the day, with our usual menus served at their normal times.
