After what feels like an eternity, the road closure has FINALLY gone — which means getting to The Lamarsh Lion is now much easier! 🦁🍻

No more diversions, no more wondering where the road has disappeared to… just follow the road and come and see us! 😂

🦁 THE LAMARSH LION – A NEW CHAPTER IS ABOUT TO BEGIN! 🍽️

We’re getting closer… and we’re delighted to finally give you a first look at our new menus! 🎉

Subject to everything going to plan, we’re aiming to start serving our new menus from:

📅 SATURDAY 10TH OCTOBER

We’ve put together a menu centred around proper pub food, good portions and great ingredients, with something for everyone.

🥧 THE PIE BOARD
A selection of freshly baked pies, from traditional favourites to some more adventurous combinations — served with your choice of sides and sauces.

🍽️ SUNDAY ROASTS
Slow-cooked beef brisket, roast lamb, roast chicken and a vegetarian option, all served with the trimmings you’d expect from a proper Sunday roast. (Other options also available)

🍔 PUB FAVOURITES
Burgers, hearty mains, lighter options and some classic dishes alongside a few of our own twists.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 KIDS MENU
Simple, tasty favourites for our younger guests, including their own Sunday roast option.

And this is just the beginning…

These are our starting menus, so as we settle in, get to know our customers and hear what you think, we’ll be making changes and adding new dishes along the way.

The roles include a mixture of days and shift times, including weekends, so flexibility is important.

🍺 A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE LAMARSH LION 🦁

Hello everyone! 👋

We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We’re Matt and Charlie, and along with the family, we’re incredibly excited to be the new tenants of The Lamarsh Lion.

We’re looking forward to becoming part of the Lamarsh community and putting our own stamp on this wonderful village pub.

The pub will be closed for a week from Monday 28th September for a little bit of TLC, some preparation, and for us to find our feet before welcoming you through the doors.

📅 OUR PLANNED OPENING DATES

🍻 From Tuesday 6th October – Drinks & bar open from 5pm

🎶 Friday 9th October – Live music with the amazing Ella Hayes from 8pm

🍽️ Saturday 10th October – Food service begins from midday

Our aim is simple: to create a truly traditional British country pub where everyone is welcome.

Expect a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with plenty of the things that make a great country pub:

🥧 A menu with a real focus on traditional pies, alongside freshly prepared starters, main courses and desserts

🍖 Traditional Sunday roasts every week

🍺 Well-kept real ales, beers and ciders

🍷 A selection of w**es

☕ Great coffee

🎱 A pool table

🛝 Kids play area

🌳 And, of course, those stunning views across the valley

🕐 OUR PLANNED OPENING HOURS

Pub Open:
Monday: 4pm–8pm
Tuesday to Saturday: 12pm–10pm
Sunday: 12pm–8pm

Food Served:
Tuesday: 12pm–2pm
Wednesday to Saturday: 12pm–2pm & 5.30pm–8pm
Sunday: 12pm–5.30pm

These are our planned opening hours as we get started, and we’ll keep you updated as we settle in.

We want The Lamarsh Lion to be somewhere you can pop in for a pint, enjoy a meal with the family, meet friends, listen to live music, play a game of pool, settle in for a Sunday roast, or simply enjoy a drink while taking in the view.

Most importantly, everyone is welcome — families, locals, walkers, regulars and visitors alike!

We’re really excited about what’s ahead and can't wait to meet you all.
