The Eight Bells

The Eight Bells Owned by Landlady Sarah Norton, a village pub serving home cooked meals and real ale. Our ethos is to keep things simple!

Run by Willie, Barbara and Sarah for over 40 years, the Eight Bells is a favourite pub for many Bures residents as well as those from a little further outside the village. We always feature a range of local ales from breweries including the Colchester Brewery, Woodfordes, the Humpty Dumpty brewery and many more! A large proportion of our food is homemade, including the ever popular spotted dick and most of our weekday specials such as toad in the hole and steak and kidney pudding.
