ADVICE NEEDED- Ok- this is not the nicest looking picture- it’s a loo. As our regular customers know, we share the public toilets ( male/ female and disabled) which are maintained by Dundee City Council. We have paid/organised through kind donations to have them re-decorated twice in the 3+ years we have been running Braw Tea Cafe- our social-good, not-for-profit cafe at Castle Green Park. (If you don’t know us - we support women who may have extra challenges and have now in 3 years worked with 95 women, we employ 18 staff p/t - all bar one started out as a volunteer with us, and have supported 24 others into employment elsewhere and 10 onto college or university. We use our cafe and the power of great food/cake to bring women together to build skills, self-esteem and confidence).
The toilets are super busy ( and yes we totally agree they close way too early- but that’s another conversation and one for the City Council). They are cleaned daily of course by the council team but they are old and would really benefit from a one-off deep clean as they get a lot of traffic, especially in the summer with park users, the Dook etc. We are trying to do something nice for the community and also help keep the toilets looking fresh for all users- the public out and about as well as our Braw Tea customers.
We are looking for recommendations of reputable cleaning companies locally who might do this- BRAW TEA will pay them! Please let us know of any companies who might be interested to do this paid work- we would rather use local and are looking for your advice.
