We are proud to support the campaign, advocating for a fairer tax system for the hospitality sector.
Under current tax laws, food businesses aren’t treated equally. While most supermarket food is taxed at 0% VAT, hot meals served at restaurants, cafés, and pubs are hit with a 20% VAT rate.
Hospitality venues are vital to local economies—generating employment, supporting suppliers, and bringing communities together.
We need a VAT structure that reflects the true value of hospitality without penalizing the venues that keep our high streets alive.
