End of a busy shift on a Sunday, here’s the team still smiling even after staying late for a deep clean- women working side by side, lifting each other up, as we’ve done for the last ten years at Emmeline. In kitchens, restaurants, cafés and businesses (especially small!) everywhere, women quietly getting on with it, backing each other, making things happen.

I always find IWD a bit weird as round here it’s women’s day every day. But it’s also hard to celebrate when so many women across the world are still carrying so much, or still fighting for basic rights and safety.
So today feels less like a celebration and more like solidarity. With women everywhere doing the work, supporting each other, and pushing things forward in big and small ways.

In the spirit of Emmeline Pankhurst and the many women who have refused to accept the way things are. Here’s a few snaps of Emmeline heroes past & present including my niece Emmeline, the future ❤️

Finding comfort in traditions amongst the madness ❤️this one with (here seen looking soooo cute with her one true love cheddar, also giving thanks to for keeping our dairy free friends happy🙏) every year is a gentle start to the festivities. Wreath making (4 styles!) , cheese plates & pickle trees- who knew the joy this combo could bring!

Thank you to all who came along! What could be better than cheese, port & piles of glitz to get creative with your loved ones ❤️

The giant pickle tree from last years party at the end because it’s too good to forget & not sure I’ll get round to one so big this year 😆

The chat can obviously be filled with the mundane, please tie up your apron strings before putting in the wash basket/clean out the recycling bins kind of stuff, but we’re trying hard to include lots of cute documenting as a daily reminder of what our little cafe is about ❤️ delicious & colourful food & drinks, lovely faces, lots of events & catering in the cafe & the field

Pumped to have been awarded a Bristol Eating Better Award- Gold 🌟 & had this lovely review in the same week- thank you!

Providing colourful & nourishing (try to avoid ‘healthy’) food & drinks to make you feel good has always been at the core of our values.
Lovely to have a bit of recognition for our efforts especially when it’s so tough to maintain standards vs cost of fresh ingredients.

Never underestimate the power of your visit to your favourite cafe or restaurant at the moment- followed by a positive review or message, they usually pop up on our phones when we’re in the middle of something else & it really can change perspective 👊💞

We’re doing a daily catering job for our favourite clients this week & today have teamed up with who are on a mission to help the smash their crowdfunder target today! Veggie & vegan stone baked paninis stuffed with loads of tasty fillings alongside our salads & drinks.. a match made in heaven 😋
