Here at Taco Barra, we have been notified that pigeon traps have been in use near the vicinity of our business.
We have received numerous enquiries and take these queries very seriously.
We would like to take this opportunity to let our customers know that we take the upmost care with any reports of animal cruelty and have taken measures to investigate this further.
We would firstly like to say that Taco Barra is part of an outdoor food market that is owned by the city council. Whatever is outside of the premise of our stall is unfortunately outside of our control.
The council have assured us that cages have been used for years as a way to control the influx of the pigeon population. They informed us that these pigeons are identified as pests in outdoor food markets and therefore need to be controlled for food-safety measures and hygiene standards.
Although we are saddened by the news, it is completely out of our control and we have been informed that any further queries should be forwarded to Bristol City Council: https://www.bristol.gov.uk .
Going forward - we are always open to improving our business and welcome all feedback. We would like to thank-you all for your concern and queries. Thank-you for understanding that this issue is out of our control and we that we have to remain implicit on this issue.
We are a progressive business and advocate for fair animal, environmental and social justice issues. We are always striving to better ourselves and the experience of our customers. Thank-you for understanding.
Warmest wishes to all.
