โจโจโจFarewellโจโจโจ
Itโs time for us to say goodbye to The Mighty Seed and the Hanover community as weโll be moving on to our next exciting venture.
From Thursday the cafe will be owned by a mother and daughter duo who are so passionate about food. Theyโre really excited about taking the shop to the next level, putting their own twist on things and with Laurelle being a chef, there are some exciting things to come!
Itโs been an amazing 4 years serving the Hanover Community, we took on a tired shop that was in desperate need of TLC and a dose of good food and I think we did our best to bring that to you.
For 3 years we also grew tons of our own organic fruit and veg throughout summer and autumn months that we used in our dishes for you to try.
In our time here weโve only worked with local business and gave those starting out a shelf to sell from. Weโve supported many artists and community groups allowing them to use our space. Weโve had a range of chefs bringing you interesting pop-up food nights. Weโve collected van load after van load of your donations of clothes to those in need all while weโve been setting up our own community food project for refugees and asylum seekers, which so many of you have been involved with-thank you! ๐ We think itโs been a great success being our first business and we really hope you think so too.
Weโll be sad to say goodbye, but being a cook, managing a shop, a piece of food growing land and running a community project, although has been fun, itโs also been such a tremendous amount of work which we just canโt sustain long term.....and with the land calling us we realised it was time to make changes ๐
Youโll still be able to find us at Stanmer Organics working the land and running community events so please do stay in touch....if you follow our community project Common Ground Brighton https://www.facebook.com/commongroundbrighton/ youโll be informed of events that weโll be running.
Please do come in and say goodbye to us and welcome in the new owners.
We want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our amazing staff that weโve had over the years, our wonderful suppliers and you, our customers itโs been an absolute pleasure and look forward to seeing you all soon.
