Many of our regular supporters will know the name Mick Bailey.
Mick Bailey was a man with a passion for the great outdoors. A local businessman in his element when talking to customers about how best to plant his plants once they got them home or how to care for their garden through the winter...
A loving family man, he inspired his son to start his own business, and his memory lives on in Bailey's Tackle Shop Ltd and in the dedication of Rob as he supports The Mary Stevens Hospice.
It is Rob's way to thank us for taking care of his father in his final days. Rob has supported The Black Country Duck Race event since it began back in 2017.
The Mick Bailey Memorial Trophy is proudly displayed at the hospice and is dedicated every year to not only the winner of the duck race, but as a reminder of why our care is so important to local families like Mick's.
