A fantastic send-off today for a wonderful customer who we were so proud to call our friend. ❤️

There wasn’t a dry eye in that church. It was heartbreaking, but also such a beautiful reflection of just how loved James was and how many lives he touched.

Most people around here will know James James. His presence was always known wherever he went, and he made such an effort with absolutely everyone. He remembered everyone’s name, always had time for a chat, and if he liked you, you soon became his “brother from another mother” or “sister from another mister.” ❤️

James really was one of a kind, and the local pub scene simply won’t be the same without him.

Today was about saying goodbye, but we’re not quite finished celebrating James yet. Celebration of Life details will follow shortly, where we’ll dedicate a whole day to James, doing everything he loved most — laughing with friends, music, singing and, of course, enjoying a good old pint. 🍻🎶

Rest easy, our dear friend James. You’ll be missed by so many, but certainly never forgotten.

Funeral Details for Our Beloved Friend & Customer, James James ❤️

For anyone who would like to join us in saying goodbye to our wonderful friend James, his funeral will take place on Wednesday 12th August.

10:30am – St Walburga’s, Shipley, BD18 3LR
11:30am – Burial at Charlestown Cemetery, Baildon
Followed by drinks at The Junction

We will be opening The Junction at the earlier time of 12pm for anybody who wishes to join us and raise a glass to our good friend. 🍺❤️

There will also be a celebration of James’ life at a later date, where we’ll spend the day exactly as he would have wanted — with music, laughter, good company and plenty of beer. All the things James loved.

Details of this will follow soon.

Rest easy, James. You’ll be very much missed by us all. ❤️
