🚨 Let us get one thing straight 🚨
We have a job to do, and we have a premises licence to uphold. If you come into our pub and immediately begin causing problems, intimidating our staff or customers, or behaving aggressively, you will be asked to leave. We have a zero-tolerance approach to that kind of behaviour.
Sadly, this was the result of asking someone to leave yesterday afternoon.
We had customers sitting on either side of this window when it was smashed. The outcome could have been so much worse, and thankfully nobody was injured.
It’s heartbreaking when you pour everything into a business you love, only for a small minority to cause unnecessary damage. We work incredibly hard to make The Junction a safe, welcoming and family-friendly pub. Our customers know there is very rarely any trouble here. Families bring their children, people bring their dogs, and we’re proud of the community we’ve built together.
The moral of the story is simple: if you’re looking to cause trouble, don’t bring it into a public place. And if you’re angry, don’t smash windows – your actions could seriously hurt innocent people.
We don’t know this individual and had never seen him before. The police attended and are dealing with the incident.
To everyone who has checked in on us and continues to support The Junction, thank you. Your kindness and loyalty mean more than you’ll ever know.
We’ll get the window replaced, open the doors as always, and continue doing what we do best – serving great beer and providing a safe, welcoming pub for our community. 💚
