Well, that was a lot of fun!! 🥕🌱

When we opened the village, we really wanted to bring some good old-fashioned fun along with us.

The Golden Ball gave us the idea of a village turnip-growing competition, and it really was a lot of fun!

A huge thank you to everyone who entered. We had entries starting at just 4g, all the way up to our winning turnip, grown by Irene, weighing a whopping 1.2kg! 🏆🥕

Same time next year? We think so! 😄

Oh and thanks ✧ ☾ 𝕱𝖆𝖐𝖊𝖙𝖊𝖊𝖙𝖍 𝖙𝖆𝖙𝖙𝖔𝖔 ☾ ✧ for the mascot! 🫜

Big fat turnip competition!

Yes you read that correctly. On shift together Jonny & Ellie noticed that our favourite pub in York advertised they were doing a turnip growing competition.

We messaged to see if we could copy their idea, and they kindly said yes, and even suggested future collaboration.

A few exchanges with our friend and we had a poster, and seeds ordered.

We have the packets ready to go. Please come in, pick up a packet and get growing… in your allotment, in your yard or your kitchen 🤷🏻‍♀️

Heaviest turnip wins a meal & drink of your choice 🥯 weigh in day will be 22nd August
