We’re Hiring!

We’re looking for someone to join our kitchen team. Things are getting busy here, and we’re looking to hire a full-time Kitchen Assistant.

What we offer

🕒 30–40 hours per week
📅 4–5 days per week, with alternating weekends
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be assisting our Head Chef with all aspects of food preparation and service.

What you’ll be doing

Food preparation and service
Managing stock, ordering and supplier relationships
Maintaining HACCP and food safety standards

We’re looking for someone who:

Has a passion for food
Can follow instructions and work well as part of a team
Is organised and has good attention to detail

What we offer

✔️ 30–40 hours per week
✔️ Structured rota with a great work-life balance – you’ll never work past 4pm
✔️ Supportive and professional working environment

Big fat turnip competition!

Yes you read that correctly. On shift together Jonny & Ellie noticed that our favourite pub in York advertised they were doing a turnip growing competition.

We messaged to see if we could copy their idea, and they kindly said yes, and even suggested future collaboration.

A few exchanges with our friend and we had a poster, and seeds ordered.

We have the packets ready to go. Please come in, pick up a packet and get growing… in your allotment, in your yard or your kitchen 🤷🏻‍♀️

Heaviest turnip wins a meal & drink of your choice 🥯 weigh in day will be 22nd August
