Some of the best moments are the ones you never planned for.

The chai that turns into another chai. The quick hello that becomes a longer conversation. Someone pulling up a chair. Familiar faces walking through the door. The noise, the laughter, the little exchanges happening across the room.

That’s what Nukkad has always been about.

Because chai has never really just been chai. It’s an invitation to sit, to stay, to talk. A ritual passed between generations, cultures and communities. Something that has always had a way of bringing people closer.

And here in Bradford, a city shaped by those same things, that feels especially meaningful.

Nukkad is our little corner of it all. A place for community, culture and the everyday moments that quietly become the ones you remember.

FROM CHAI COMPANY, TO NUKKAD.
Chai Company was where it started, Nukkad is what its evolved into.

The transition wasn’t about leaving chai behind. It was about understanding that we existed beyond the cup.

Chai has always been more than a drink. It’s an invitation to sit, talk, debate, laugh, create and belong. And somewhere along the way, we realised we weren’t simply building a chai company we were building a NUKKAD.

A corner where people cross paths.
Where conversations become friendships.
Where ideas, art, music and stories find a home.

So Chai Company became NUKKAD.
A name that felt closer to what we had been creating all along.

Our next chapter stands on two pillars:

Community & Culture.

Community; creating spaces where people feel welcome, connected and part of something.

Culture; celebrating the creativity, conversations and everyday moments that make us who we are.

The name has changed. The chai is still the same. But the purpose has become bigger.

THE WORLD CUP MAY BE OVER. FOR NUKKAD, WE’RE ONLY JUST GETTING STARTED.

Before anything else, a moment for our community.

You showed up, filled every corner with conversation, and reminded us that the best gatherings are never really about the event itself. The World Cup was simply the excuse. What mattered was sharing food, pouring tea, making memories, and finding one another around the table.

The response has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us along the way.

This is only the beginning. There’s plenty brewing behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
