We are a fifth-generation family-run farm with an award-winning farm shop and cafe. On our farm, we produce our own grass-fed beef and organic vegetables and source food and drink from local artisan farmers, growers and makers. Our cafe is also open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch, coffee & cake every day with a real emphasis on local, seasonal produce.

Afternoon tea has had its autumn glow-up 🍂

There are the classics: sandwiches, sausage rolls and warm scones with clotted cream and jam. Then there are a few seasonal favourites: toffee apple choux buns, plum and vanilla filo tarts and carrot cake.

Add a mini cheese scone with cheddar and tomato chutney, plus refillable tea or coffee (or some bubbles, if you fancy it), and you’ve got a very good reason to settle in for the afternoon. 🫖

Available daily 2-4pm. Bookings need to be made 72 hours in advance.

October at Hartley is looking rather good 🍂🎃

We’re starting with wood-fired pizzas and live music at Friday Night Bites, then there’s music for little ones, a relaxed watercolour workshop and a whole lot of autumn fun as we head into half term.

🎃 Harvest Festival returns on 24 October
🎃 Pumpkins in the Paddock runs from 25–31 October
🏮 And we’ll finish the month with lantern making

There’s plenty happening at this year’s Harvest Festival 🎃🍂

From hot dogs and seasonal snacks to pumpkin carving, forest school activities, marshmallow toasting and a bouncy castle – plus a visit from the one and only Patti the Pumpkin – we’ve got a full day of autumn fun planned here at the farm.

And that’s only some of what’s happening…

Our Harvest Festival takes place on Saturday 24 October, with plenty for little ones, grown-ups and everyone in between.

Flatbread topped with grilled courgettes and tomatoes, chicken thighs in a gyros sauce, pickled red cabbage and bang bang sauce.
