At the beginning of this year, Tom made a commitment to say yes to a few more opportunities and to make a few happen himself.
Last Friday, he finally ticked one off the list: a day cooking over fire with .meller at River Cottage HQ 🔥
Among the smoked haddock omelettes, scallops, cuttlefish stew and ember-roasted beetroot, there was also a timely reminder of why cooking can be so restorative. A fire won’t be rushed. It demands your attention, quietens the noise and, eventually, gives everyone a reason to stop and gather around the table.
Tom has shared more about the experience, and why cooking is his favourite way to reset, in his latest note from the farm – you can read the full story in our Journal via the link in our bio.
