Chatty Parrot Café is a family run business, purely run by neurodivergent people!

We aim to make a friendly atmosphere, improve the community and make a damn good cup of coffee.

We often get mixed up with the Chatty Cafe Scheme, which we actually have no relation to! (Though we do admire what they do!)

At Chatty Parrot, we have homeschooling lessons, networking sessions, craft workshops, mental health drop ins and much more! Keep up with our profile to see what is happening!

All of our staff are either autistic, ADHD or some flavour of neurodiverse!

We are also very new to the cafe trade! The first few months were for sure a steep learning curve- orders could take a while, sometimes they were wrong and there would be a misunderstanding.

Now? It's like a completely different place!

Autism affects social communication, sensory processing and much more- which means sometimes we can come across a little 'odd'!

Because our staff are all autistic sometimes this can mean it takes a little longer for us to understand! Autism affects auditory processing, and this means it takes us a little longer to get things done- but it will always be done well and with the utmost care.

It can be very difficult to find a job when you are on the spectrum, it turns a lot of employers away- but we want to provide young people and those who struggle with the experience and training that they deserve and need!
