Big thanks to our Saturday youth volunteers for getting the day started with some litter picking.

The freshly painted climbing frame and slide are looking great too!

We love Churchill Gardens and are passionate about doing our bit to help it be a welcoming, safe and fun place to live, work, play and rest!

A HUGE thank you to the brilliant team at B&Q Christchurch for giving Churchill Gardens a little makeover! 💚🌱

They’ve been hard at work:

🎨 Painting the infant climbing frame and slide
🌿 Weeding and giving the Grow Zone some much-needed TLC
🌱 Adding compost and planting hardy flowering plants and herbs (good down to -5°C!) in 5 large raised beds.

It’s looking SO much better — and we can’t wait to see everything grow! 🌸🌿

💧 Could you help us keep it growing?

We’d love a few local people to offer to water the Grow Zone over the next few weeks while the new plants get established.

If you’re happy to help, drop us a DM or comment below. Every little bit of care makes a difference! 💚

What a day! 💛👏

A huge thank you and well done to everyone who helped with today’s Churchill Gardens clean-up! More than 20 people were out litter picking, while another big team tackled Borthwick Lane.

Together, we cleared 3 mattresses, 2 fridges, a bike, a shopping trolley, and loads of leaves and weeds. Then we rounded off the day by feeding 80 people at the BBQ! 🌭

Thank you for giving your time and helping care for our neighbourhood. Churchill Gardens is looking better because of you! 🌿

🎨 Free Kids’ After-School Crafts Today! 🍂🐚

Come along outside Joy Café from 3:15–4:15pm for a relaxed, creative hour after school.

We’ll be making lovely collage pictures using cut-out summer and autumn shapes — think shells, leaves and more — creating colourful scenes within the negative space. We’ll also have mindful colouring for anyone who fancies something calm and creative.

Free to join in, with all materials provided. Just come along! 💛

🌿 Let’s give Churchill Gardens some love! 🌿

Come along for our community clean-up on Saturday 12th September, 10am–2pm. We’ll meet at Joy Café for a free coffee, then head out to tidy the park, Grow Zone and alleyways together.

Stay for a well-earned BBQ afterwards! 🍔☀️

If you have them, please bring an outdoor broom, dustpan and brush, gloves or gardening tools. Everyone is welcome — many hands make light work! 💛

Please spread the word and invite friends, family and neighbours! 🤝
