Just a bit of information for all of the Albions followers, I (Robbie) will be handing this face book page over to Phil and Hannah before The Albion reopens, so you will be kept right up to date with reopening dates etc.
I’m sure you are all going to be made up with the improvements Admiral Taverns are making to your local community pub and I’m sure Phil and Hannah are going to build on the refurbishment and me and Debbie wish them all the success for the future.
Remember….
STAY SAFE STAY LOCAL 😊😊

After 20 years of being The Albions manager, I start my final week. I took over in 2006 with Karen and for the first 10 years we had an amazing time until she was taken from us.
The Albion is a great pub with a fantastic local community and over the years the support we received was amazing.
Just remembering some of the special times, from having family coach trips to Blackpool to holding the midweek sports nights with both Liverpool and Everton past players (my personal favourite was Tommy Smith) and we can’t forget the kids parties 3 times a year, complete mayhem for three hours each time but the kids always thanking us for a great time.
Another big thank you to our current and past pub team, darts pool, football and of course the golf society, with customers just coming in just to watch “the friendly” discussions we’d always end up having after a day out🏌🏼‍♂️😳.
Both me and Debbie would like to say a big thank you for all your support during the covid years and allowing The Albion to remain just as popular when things got back to normal.
We would also like to say a big thank you to all of our bands, trios, duos singers and of course Chris the quizmaster who have entertained in The Albion over the years.
We have always been fortunate to have great staff and our current ones are no exception, A pub is only as good as its team. So a big thank you to Phil, Jan, Hannah, Emily, Emma, Annmarie without an e and Anne-marie with an e ( caused me a lot of confusion that 😂) also to The Albions one and only Eileen the cleaner who kept the pub shining for nearly 40 years. Also not forgetting all my nieces and nephews who worked for me over the years as they reached 18.
One last thank you is to my sister Sylvia who helped me a lot, during a very bad time and took control of The Albion when I was struggling because of Karen’s ill-health. Thank You Syl ❤️
The Albion will be closing for 4/5 weeks after next Sunday for a well deserved revamp and I’m sure that everyone will be made up to hear that Phil and Hannah will be your new proprietors when it reopens, well done Phil, you’ve certainly earned the job.
If anyone would like to join us on our last (in charge) night please feel free to call in on Saturday night, once again a big thank you for your support
