🦆 AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE DUCK INN 🦆
As many of you may have heard or seen yesterday, a vehicle unfortunately crashed into The Duck Inn, causing significant damage to the building and resulting in some serious injuries.
As a result, we will be closed for the foreseeable future while the necessary repairs to the building are carried out.
First and foremost, we would like to wish everyone injured in the incident a speedy recovery. ❤️
We would also like to say a huge thank you to all the friends, customers and members of the public who were there or passing by and stopped to offer their help and support. It was a frightening and upsetting experience, and your kindness meant more than you know.
We had only just made some positive changes to the pub and our menu this week, and we were genuinely excited about the next chapter at The Duck Inn. Sadly, things haven’t worked out as we had hoped.
We want to thank every friend and customer who has supported us over the last 10 months. Whether you visited regularly, came along to an event or simply popped in for a meal or a drink, we truly appreciate every bit of support we’ve received.
And to all the doubters who didn’t think we’d make it to Christmas… I guess you were right after all! 😂
On a serious note, yesterday was a horrible and frightening experience, and thankfully, things could have been so much worse. We would respectfully ask that anyone considering making jokes or unkind comments about this incident refrains from doing so. There are real people involved, people have been injured, and this has been a very upsetting experience for everyone affected. Please, just show a little respect.
Thank you again to everyone who has supported us, helped us and shown us kindness over the last 10 months. It really does mean a lot to all of us.
From all of us at The Duck Inn — thank you. ❤️🦆
