Right… WHICH ONE OF YOU came in today and stole some of my brain power?! 🤣🧠 Because I’d quite like it back, please!

Another busy shift today with loads going on, and it was so lovely to see you all after a quieter start to the week. Thank you so much for keeping us busy and for continuing to support us — you’re all absolute stars! ❤️

Me, however… 🤦‍♀️🤣

Halfway through the shift, my brain apparently decided it had worked enough hours and clocked out without telling me. I knew what I needed to do. I knew where I needed to be. And yet somehow I just stood there completely baffled, questioning every decision I’d ever made. 😂

The lights were on… but whoever was in charge had definitely popped out for a break. 🤣🧠

So yes, another successful day all round — everyone looked after, everything got done, and I only temporarily lost the ability to function like a normal human being. 😂

Thank you all for another fab day! Hopefully tomorrow my brain and I will be working the same shift. 🤞🤣❤️

I’ve been trying to arrange some relatively straightforward improvements to the café for well over a year now, including replacing a sink and plastering a small section of wall.

As a local business, and also a paying customer, I find it incredibly frustrating that I’ve struggled to even obtain a quote, let alone get the work booked in and completed.

When I see other businesses and individuals seemingly able to arrange similar work without the same difficulties, it naturally leaves me wondering why my experience has been so different and why I’m finding it so difficult to get these relatively simple jobs progressed.

I’m not asking for preferential treatment—just clear communication, a quote, and a reasonable opportunity to get the work completed.

If anyone knows anyone in the professions let me know or pop into cafe when we are open and take a look for a quote
