Step inside some of Blunsdon’s beautiful gardens and enjoy a wonderful day celebrating our village, its gardeners, and our amazing community.

Whether you’re looking for gardening inspiration, a relaxing stroll, or simply a lovely day out with family and friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

🗺️ Pick up your Open Gardens map from the Village Hall, £5 per adult, children go free🥰

🐝 Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the bumble bees hidden around the trail—they’re great fun for children and adults alike!

🍦 If you’re passing our shop, we’d love to see you! You’ll find us marked on the map, serving:
☕ Refreshing iced coffees
🥤 Creamy milkshakes
🍦 Ice creams
🍰 A selection of delicious treats

🌻🏡 Blunsdon Scarecrow Trail 🏡🌻

It’s time to explore the wonderful creative scarecrows and wonderful community spirit that make the Blunsdon Open Gardens & Scarecrow Trail such a special annual event. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning for another year, there’s plenty to discover and enjoy.

🗺️ Maps are available to purchase from the Village Hall where you can also enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast or treat yourself to a homemade cake & cup of tea before or after exploring the gardens. Maps are just £5 per family.

🐝 As you make your way around the trail, keep your eyes peeled for the bumble bees hidden along the route! Can you find the bees at Blunsdon Community Shop?

🍦 Need to cool down or fancy a treat? Be sure to stop by our shop—you’ll find us marked on your Scarecrow Trail Map. We have plenty of delicious refreshments, including:

☀️🔥 Hottest Day of the Year – Self Care is Key! 🔥☀️

With temperatures soaring today, it’s important to look after yourself and those around you.

💧 Stay hydrated
🧢 Wear a hat and light clothing
🌳 Seek shade where possible
❄️ Take regular breaks in cool spaces

Why not try a simple homemade electrolyte drink to help replace salts lost through sweating?

🥤 Mix together:
• 500ml water
• Juice of ½ a lemon 🍋
• A small pinch of salt 🧂
• 1–2 teaspoons of honey or sugar (optional)

Stir well and enjoy chilled! Ingredients available in the shop🥰

Remember, self-care isn’t selfish—it’s essential, especially during extreme heat. Check in on friends, family, neighbours and anyone who may be more vulnerable in this weather.
