Ready to make some cute and festive decorations with wool? We have our Christmas Needle Felting Workshop back at Land of Oak & Iron!

Using a specialist felting needle and the tuition from an amazing felt artist, you'll create a little owl and robin, perfect to pop around the house or to add a ribbon as a tree decoration.

This workshop is £30 and includes a complementary hot drink from our cafe.

Join us in the October Half Term for some woolly good fun!

In this craft activity, your child will have the chance to make a traditional God's Eye with an Autumnal twist. Weave your way around a conker found right here in the Derwent Valley, and take your creation home as a lovely decoration!

We’ll be giving sticks a woolly wrap jumper and see what else we can create with nature and wool.

Tickets are £9.50, which includes admission for 1 child and 1 accompanying adult.

❤️ World Mental Health Day ❤️

Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference.

A walk in the woods, a quiet coffee, a friendly hello, or simply somewhere to sit and watch the world go by.

At Land of Oak & Iron, we're lucky to see these little moments every day, and to have a wonderful team who help make them happen.

But it's worth remembering that we all have our own things going on, including the people welcoming you through our doors, making your coffee and looking after the place.

We never really know what someone else might be dealing with, so a little kindness, patience and understanding can go a long way.

Whether you're visiting us today, working with us, or simply getting through the day as best you can, please be kind to yourself and to those around you. ❤️

Today - pop down to see (and smell) Bella Anima candles and wax melts, and meet the maker in person.

We have Bella Anima Studio at the Heritage Centre tomorrow selling her amazing creations!

Pop along to explore her range of plant-based candles, with a large range of beautiful scents, as well as some seasonal Halloween-themed products. You can also chat with Isabel, the creator behind the business, about her work as well as snapping up some great gifts!

Bella Anima Studio will be here from 10am - 4pm, so pop down, have a coffee and support an amazing independent business!

Our Acrylic Landscape Painting Course is taking bookings for our next block!

For £80, you'll get amazing tutoring from local instructor & artist Kath, where by the end you should have a beautiful landscape paintings! These sessions are great for beginners, but we also have a lot of friendly regulars and welcome students of any level. Each week you'll also get one of our lovely hot drinks from the cafe!
