Today is the day that the absolutely wonderful Michael Bruton takes his final journey as he is laid to rest.

May he rest peacefully, now fishing in heaven and watching over those he loved so dearly.

Sylvia Bruton and your amazing family, you are all in our thoughts today. We are sending you our love, strength, and heartfelt condolences as you say goodbye to a truly special man.

Gone from sight, but never from our hearts. ❤️

Hey guys,

I haven't posted for a while because there's been so much going on behind the scenes, so I thought I'd give you a little update.

We are still in dispute with the insurance company, and the case has now gone to the Ombudsman, which means it's likely to take quite some time to be resolved.

Alongside this ongoing nightmare, I've been battling with my FND and trying to cope with the heartbreaking loss of another dear friend. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions.

As a family, we have been devastated by the loss of our lovely Mick, and we are doing everything we can to support our amazing Sylvia during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts are with her and all of her family.

Behind the scenes, we've been fighting tirelessly to get our beloved café back up and running, but despite all our efforts, we don't seem to be getting any closer. Relocating remains a possibility, but it has to be the right move. The insurance company would also need to agree to the costs involved, including any work required to make a new premises suitable for our needs.

I won't lie I've been struggling. I do my best to put a smile on my face when I can, but behind closed doors, it's been really hard. Some days feel heavier than others.

One thing that has been helping me recently is an amazing song that I've had on repeat. It's been giving me strength, keeping me going, and reminding me not to give up. Have a listen it's incredible

Exciting News.... The lovely Lola from OMOTO STORE that was next door to us and impacted by the fire have a new premises and they are going to be having their grand official opening day this coming Saturday 9th May at 11am it would be great if we can get people sharing the date as well as following her page so we can get make it a great success. They are currently sorting out the Facebook and need as many followers as possible

Sorry we’ve been a bit quiet on here lately we’ve just been keeping ourselves as busy as we can 💭

At the moment, we still don’t have any real updates on when things will start moving forward. We’re continuing to chase the insurance side of things, but as many of you know, these processes can take time… especially with a formal complaint now in place and all the steps that come with it.

That said, we haven’t been sitting still 💪✨
This past week has been all about painting, refurbing, and getting stuck in helping the amazing Lola from Omoto prepare her new premises. It’s been so good to focus on something positive and be part of getting her ready to open as soon as possible 🎨🛠️

Emotionally, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster if I’m honest. I’ve felt quite lost without the routine of the café it’s a huge part of life that’s suddenly not there, and that’s been tough 💔

We’re really hoping things start to move soon because we’re more than ready 🤞
