Apparently the universe has decided to put on a bit of entertainment for us tonight… 👀

Tonight’s Solar Eclipse will be visible from Blackburn, so if the Lancashire clouds behave themselves for once, we should get a pretty impressive view! 😂🤞

🌘 Eclipse begins — 6:12pm

🌑 Maximum eclipse — 7:09pm

🌒 Eclipse ends — 8:03pm

We won’t quite get total darkness here, but a large part of the Sun will be covered at its peak. ☀️🌑

And where better to watch it than with a drink in hand at The Wilpshire Hotel? 🍺🍷

Grab yourself a seat outside, get the drinks in and enjoy something a little different this Wednesday evening!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please don’t look directly at the Sun. Proper eclipse glasses or another safe viewing method are essential — sunglasses do not make it safe.

Our Bleakholt Silent Auction is growing again, with four more fantastic donations dropped off today! ❤️

🎨 ITEM 6 – Original Post Office Painting
A beautiful original hand-painted canvas featuring a traditional village Post Office, full of character and lovely little details. A charming, one-of-a-kind piece of artwork that would make a wonderful addition to any home.

🌼 ITEM 7 – Original Framed Artwork
A gorgeous floral painting, beautifully framed and full of colour. An original piece of art, perfect for brightening up any home.

🐴 ITEM 8 – Original Framed Watercolour
A beautiful original watercolour featuring two horses, full of character and beautifully presented in a wooden frame. A striking, one-of-a-kind piece that would look fantastic in any home.

📚 ITEM 9 – Signed Book by Local Author Paul M Wilson
The Bear Who Lost His Growl — written and illustrated by local author Paul M Wilson, with this copy personally signed by the author. A really lovely keepsake or gift for a little one. ❤️
