The time has come for me to start putting the feelers out for a registered homestyle / classic baker to fill my boots at Coffee Shop Clitheroe, as I officially head off on maternity leave NEXT MONTH! 🥺🤍
I genuinely don’t know how it’s come around so quickly!
We’re looking for a baker, ideally with an established, reputable and fully registered baking business and is familiar with allergens and has a hygiene rating, to supply and stock our lovely coffee shop in Clitheroe with a selection of homemade bakes.
We have a wonderful local customer base, alongside lots of visitors from across the UK, who love a good classic bake just as much as something a little different!
Ideally, we’d be looking for two stocking days per week – Mondays and Wednesdays – with a lovely selection of bakes such as:
🍋 Lemon drizzle
🍌 Banana loaf
🤎 Almond slices
🍞 Tea loaf
🧁 Homemade scones
🍫 Brownies
🥕 Carrot cake
🍯 Millionaire’s shortbread
…and plenty more!
You’d have creative freedom over the selection, with the only request being that we keep a good mix of those much-loved classics alongside a few more exciting additions.
We have a fully equipped kitchen at the coffee shop which would be available for use, as well as the option to work from your own kitchen. There may also be opportunities for additional shifts within the coffee shop for anyone interested!
I’m not yet sure exactly how long I’ll be taking off, but ideally we’re looking for someone who could step into the role for up to 9 months but likely to be less.
It’s very bittersweet for me to be having to hand over the cake reins even if only temporarily. I’ve built such lovely relationships with our customers and it’s been so rewarding seeing people enjoy the bakes I’ve made for them.
