⚓️ A Very Special Homecoming! ❤️🇬🇧

A little heads-up to all our lovely customers: our kitchen will be serving a reduced lunchtime menu tomorrow (Friday 9th October).

And it’s for a very special reason…

After 7 long months away on deployment, Kieron’s dad is finally coming home aboard HMS Dragon! 🚢🇬🇧

Kieron, Bekka and little Theo will be heading down to welcome him home and watch HMS Dragon and her crew return safely to their families after seven months at sea.

It’s such a special moment for our family, one we truly don’t want to miss. ❤️

We’ll still be serving food at lunchtime, just with a slightly smaller selection than usual.

We hope you’ll understand, and thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Fair winds and following seas to HMS Dragon and her crew, welcome home! ⚓️❤️

Love from all of us at The Hampshire Bowman 🍻

☀️ What a beautiful day for a walk! 🍂🥾

The sun’s out, the air’s getting that proper autumn feel, and there’s no better excuse to get outside for a wander through the Hampshire countryside.

And, conveniently, there’s a pub at the end of it… 😉🍺

Stop by The Hampshire Bowman for a well-earned pint, or settle in and warm yourself up with one of our proper Sunday roasts. 🍖🥔

And if you’re making an afternoon of it, even better…

Pie & Pint night is here 🍺🥧

Because sometimes you just can’t beat a proper pie, a pile of mash and a pint.

This week we’ve got homemade Steak & Local Ale Pie, served with mash, vegetables and plenty of gravy, plus a pint for £15.

Nothing fancy. Just proper pub food, a decent pint and a very good excuse not to cook.

6–8pm - £15 Pie & Pint

Pop in hungry. We’ll sort the rest. 🍻

🍻 WE’RE IN IT! 🍻

We’re absolutely delighted to share that The Hampshire Bowman has been featured in CAMRA’s Good B**r Guide 2027! 🎉

For a proper country pub that takes its b**r seriously, this one means a lot to us. We’re proud to serve gravity-poured, well-kept cask ale and to keep doing things the way we think a great pub should.

A huge thank you to our team for everything they put in, and to every one of you who comes through the doors, enjoys a pint and supports an independent pub. ❤️

Here’s to plenty more good b**r, good food and good times at The Bowman. 🍺

Apparently, we’re officially worth finding now… 😉

🍻 WHAT’S NEW? 🍔

We’ve been busy putting together a few new reasons to get yourself down to The Hampshire Bowman — and there’s now something happening pretty much every day of the week!

🍔 MONDAY – Burger Night + Quiz
Our brand new 2 burgers for £20 menu lands Monday, including the slightly ridiculous Jammy B’stard - Hampshire beef, American cheese and smoked bacon, all stuffed inside a jam doughnut. 😈
Burgers 6–8pm, then our quiz kicks off at 8:30pm.

🥡 TUESDAY – Takeaway Tuesday + Tabletop Games
Bring your favourite takeaway into the pub, grab a pint from us and settle in. We’re updating our games selection too, so make a night of it!

🍺 WEDNESDAY – Happy Hour
7–9pm | 15% off drinks

🥧 THURSDAY – Cost of Living Pie-sis
A proper pie and a pint for £15, available 6–8pm.

🍻 FRIDAY – Happy Hour
Start the weekend properly with 15% off drinks from 7–9pm.

🇫🇷 SATURDAY – Moules Frites
Moules frites + a small Chilean Sauvignon for £20.

🍖 SUNDAY – The Sharing Board Returns!
Our Sunday sharing board is BACK, followed by Happy Hour from 6–8pm with 15% off drinks.

The kind of pub where there’s always an excuse to pop in — whether it’s for dinner, a quiz, a few games, a bargain pint or just because you really need to find out whether a jam doughnut has any business being around a beef burger. 😂

Which night are you trying first? 👇

Bekka has hijacked the kitchen this afternoon! 🍅🫑

With the weather getting colder and the days feeling a little more miserable, we’re bringing soup back to the menu and we’re kicking things off with a proper classic: Tomato & Red Pepper Soup.

Warm, comforting and packed with flavour, just what you need on a chilly day! 🥣❤️
