Hello September… we’ve been expecting you. 🍂

The mornings are getting a little cooler, the light is changing, and suddenly sitting somewhere cosy with a proper cup of coffee and something freshly baked feels like exactly where we need to be. 🤎

Whether you’re a croissant person, partial to a pastry, or simply here for the coffee, consider this your invitation to slow down for a little while and embrace those early autumn café moments at URBAN.

Good coffee. Good bakes. A cosy corner. September, we’re ready for you. ☕️✨

✨ MEET THE URBANISTAS — MANOJ! ✨

Next up to face our 5 Urbanista Quick-Fire Questions is one of our newer Kitchenistas, the lovely Manoj! 👨‍🍳🤎

He may be one of the newer faces behind the scenes at URBAN, but he’s already become pretty easy to spot… mainly because we’re fairly certain he has the biggest smile in the whole place. 😁

So, what makes Manoj tick? From his favourite URBAN food and drink to a few things you might not know about him, it’s time to hand over the quick-fire questions and see what he has to say! 👀

Give Manoj some love in the comments — and if you spot that smile next time you’re in, be sure to say hello! 👋🤎

LAST CALL FOR OUR SUMMER SIPS! ☀️

Our seasonal drinks menu will be having its autumn glow-up very soon 🍂👀… which means time is running out to enjoy your summer favourites!

If you’ve been meaning to try our gorgeous Blueberry & Lion’s Mane Matcha, consider this your sign. 🫐💚

Fruity, creamy, vibrant and definitely a little different — it’s one of those drinks you need to try before it disappears from the specials board.
Already have a summer favourite? Now might also be the time for just one more… 😉

Come and sip summer at URBAN while you still can. ☀️🥤

FRIENDLY REMINDER: CHEEKY DRINKS STILL EXIST AT URBAN 🍸

Because coffee isn’t always the answer… sometimes it’s an Espresso Martini. 😏

Fancy making brunch, lunch or your afternoon catch-up a little cheekier?

We’ve got:
🍸 Espresso Martini
🌶️ Bloody Mary
🥂 Bucks Fizz
🍾 Prosecco — little bottle or go all in with the big one
🍷 W**e — glass or bottle
🍺 B**r, Ale & C***r — ask an Urbanista for our current options

No special occasion required. Sometimes a Bank Holiday is reason enough. 😂

Brunch. Lunch. Coffee. Cake. Cheeky drinks.

Whatever mood you’re in, we’ve got you. ❤️

🚲 Something new has rolled into the Jewellery Quarter…

We’re really excited to share that URBAN is now an OurBike host! ❤️

But what exactly does that mean?

OurBike is a community e-cargo bike sharing scheme, designed to make those everyday local journeys easier, more affordable and a little greener. Think shopping trips, deliveries, transporting kids, pets, plants or generally all the stuff that might normally have you reaching for the car. The electric-assist cargo bikes can carry up to 100kg in the front box, too!

And that’s where URBAN comes in…

As an OurBike host in the Jewellery Quarter, we’re providing a local home and hub for the bike, helping keep it charged and ready for the community to use. OurBike takes care of the bookings, maintenance, insurance and rider support.

You simply book through the OurBike app, ride, and return — making it a really practical alternative for those shorter journeys around the city. Residents currently get their first 60 minutes free, with hire after that from £5 per hour.

We love being part of something that encourages people to explore the Jewellery Quarter and Birmingham in a more sustainable way — and we’re rather pleased that URBAN gets to be part of the journey. 🚲🌿❤️

Pop in and ask one of our Urbanistas if you spot the bike and want to know more!

Lunch doesn’t always have to be a big affair… 🌿🥧

If you’re looking for something a little lighter for lunchtime, our Spinach & Cheese Tart is a rather lovely choice.

A crisp homemade pastry tart, filled with spinach & cheese and served alongside a fresh, colourful jumbo cous cous & spring roasted vegetable salad — satisfying enough for lunch, without leaving you feeling like you need an afternoon nap afterwards. 😂

Perfect for those days when you fancy something fresh, homemade and full of flavour. ❤️

Available from midday at URBAN — and there are plenty more lighter bites and lunch options on the menu too.
