We had a great couple of days at Belper Goes Green over the weekend, a community eco festival with music, stalls, food and drink.
Beer was flowing and pizza was... pizza-ing.

Big thanks to everyone for your support and of course the organisers Transition Belper for having us and putting on a lovely event!

Solar powered pizza?!

No, but wouldn't that be amazing! We do however have all the electrics in our van powered by solar energy! That's running the fridge, lights, order buzzers and charging the card machine and phones.
If we're doing beer it can even run our chiller for few hours if it's a sunny day! (Obviously not something we can rely on for that though! 🌦️)

A self-build is always a work in progress though so we're always looking at ways to improve and reduce our environmental impact ♻️

For the past couple of months we've had the privilege of being part of the Street Food Incubator programme, a scheme designed to support and grow street food businesses in association with and Birmingham street-food legends

The programme has included some really useful workshops and courses as well as real world advice from experienced street food traders.

We're now the proud owners of all these certificates and some fresh insights so thank you to the program partners from NCASS, Digbeth Dining Club and everyone involved. Looking forward to working with you!

We had a fun (but exhausting) triple event bank holiday weekend starting with catering for an anniversary party on Saturday, a regular market on Sunday, and on Monday!

Thanks to everyone who grabbed a pizza and congrats Debbie & Greg on your 10 years together!

We're kicking off the bank holiday weekend with a private party and Pepperoni* is on the menu!
We make ours from seitan and a semi-secret blend of herbs and spices.

Big thanks to Keele People Planet Place for having us be part of their Festival of People Planet & Place last Saturday, ending a week-long event focusing on sustainability, environment & community with family fun day in town.

It was great to see all the students, families and everyone else getting involved!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a pizza, you kept us busy so we didn't get a chance to take any more photos later!

We'll be back round your way in the summer, watch this space 👀🌱

We had a really fun day at Belper Vegan Reggae Market on Sunday. Great food, drink, music & more. Sun, wind, rain & hail but the vegan community showed up to support! Thanks to the organisers, customers and fellow traders we had some good chats (and food!) from!
