Itihaas Indian Restaurant

Itihaas Indian Restaurant Itihaas is a refined Indian dining experience in the heart of Birmingham, where heritage, hospitality and contemporary elegance come together.

Itihaas takes its name from the Hindi word for history, reflecting a restaurant shaped by India’s culinary heritage, its traditions of hospitality and the enduring pleasure of dining well. The menu draws on the depth and diversity of Indian cuisine, with dishes shaped by tradition and presented with a modern sensibility. From the kitchen to the dining room, every detail is considered to create an experience that feels warm, polished and effortlessly sophisticated. It started with a table for two, good food, a few drinks and an evening spent enjoying each other’s company.

As the night went on, the conversation flowed, the plates emptied and then came an unexpected little surprise.

A cake, a celebration and a moment they’ll remember long after the evening ends.

An evening celebrating the city’s heritage, culture and character, with Itihaas at the table.

For more than twenty years, memories have been made around our tables.

Birthdays. First dates. Reunions. Celebrations.

And moments that needed no occasion at all.

Those memories belong to you.

We’re here to make room for many more.

It’s been wonderful to see so many familiar faces returning to Itihaas.

The food remains at the heart of everything we do, but we’re also paying closer attention to all the small details around it. The welcome, the service, the room, the pace of the meal, the things that quietly shape an evening.

For those who have known Itihaas for years, we want it to feel familiar, just better.

Sunday at Itihaas.
12pm-10pm.
